Pack 408 is a nationally registered Cub Scout unit with the Scouting America organization. We have been serving the City of Claremont and surrounding communities for over 25 years! We pride ourselves on providing opportunities for children in grades K-5 to learn, explore, and connect with our community.
All our leaders have children in the program and graciously volunteer their time to make it a positive and safe experience for the everyone to enjoy. Leaders are required to take appropriate training courses and complete a background check. We are always open to welcoming more passionate individuals into our ranks to help make this program excel!
Cub Scouts regularly meet a few times a month in small grade-based groups (dens) throughout the school year. They work on completing adventures for which they receive recognition, earn awards to adorn their uniform, gain life skills, and build confidence. All dens are invited to gather together at least once a month for a pack-wide meeting, event, or activity ranging from creating greeting cards for the less fortunate to fun-filled campouts. Our program aims to create an engaging experience and foster cherished memories to last a lifetime.
Scouts form connections with the natural world that is around them by participating in den-level adventures as well as Pack-led Spring and Fall campouts at locations throughout Southern California.
Scouts participate in a number of events throughout the year including campouts, hiking, picnics, arts and crafts, community service projects, and the Pinewood Derby.
Teaching our scouts the benefits of making a positive impact in our community. We seek to make a positive impact not just in our scouts, but in just the communities that surround us and beyond!
The following are the three tenants of the Scout Code which serve to teach scouts the values and meaning of being a good citizen.
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Do your best!
